Right I am starting a new meme. I was talking to some friends the other day while my favourite TV show was on (read on to find out about it).
They were telling me about a couple of shows they liked and it made me realise there are some really good programmes out there that I hadn't even thought of watching. Let's face it, there isn't a great deal to watch on the millions of TV channels these days!
So I'm starting this meme because I want to find out about some of the good programmes out there.
So here are the rules of the meme as usual :
- Name your absolute favourite TV programme.
- You can NOT have more than one!
- Describe the general gist of the programme.
- Explain what about it makes it your favourite (and therefore why someone else would want to watch it).
- Link back to me here.
- Tag 2 other people
So here is mine:
Programme Name : HOUSE
The programme low down: The programme is set in an American hospital. Gregory House, played by Hugh Laurie (Really!) leads a team in a diagnostic medicine department dealing with specialist cases that defy diagnosis elsewhere. Each episode him and his team have to work out what is wrong with 1 patient. You get the story of the patient, House and his team.
Why I love it: I didn't start watching it from the start. I had caught a bit of one episode and thought Hugh Laurie's American accent was dire. Then, one day, there was nothing on TV so I watched a whole episode and it got me hooked. I soon forgot the accent and got caught up in House's character. He plays a very unlikeable character but you know he is not as bad as he acts. His interaction with the other characters is so funny at times that I laugh out loud almost every episode. There are very few programmes that make me laugh out loud. Eventually it caught the hubby's attention and we bought the boxsets and watched them all in the space of a few weeks. We are now half way through Series 6 so if you get into it there is plenty to catch up on!
So over to you? I am tagging
But let me know if you want to have a go and I will add your post here.
