I managed to find time to call the nursery this morning and work out what had happened with the little one yesterday.
I explained to the manager what they had told the hubby and what the little one had said when she got home.
The manager went off to investigate and called me back after 10 minutes or so.
Apparently the little one had not, in fact, had an accident and wet herself.
She had spilt a cup of juice over herself at lunchtime and needed changing before they tried to get them to nap.
It makes sense that this would upset her. Anything spilt on her makes her demand removal of wet clothes (even if it’s only a dribble!).
What doesn’t make sense is why they told the hubby a completely different story yesterday?
I do believe them, because if they were going to lie they would have made up a different story around how she had the accident.
However, it is still a little worrying.
