40 DAYS!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!
Last week was a down week in the schedule. This meant that my long run was only 60 minutes (can you believe I say *only* 60 minutes?)
This was admittedly measured on the inaccurate Nike+ on my iPod which fractionally more accurate than the treadmill numbers. But I was happy that I ran the 60 minutes at a pace that used to be my sprint pace and is now easy conversational. In the end I think 5.62 miles in 60 minutes is my best performance yet.
I had also discovered that my new trainers (same brand as the old faithful's but newer!) are bruising my toes on my left foot.
So I am back to my old ones and will run in them on the big day. My knees seem to be ok with only some small twinges at the very end of the long runs. I seem to also be getting twinges at the top of my thigh but I’m sure that will run out.
At the end of the week I had to travel to London on Friday for a meeting and then I was on my course. This meant no training. I did the long run on Thursday and allowed myself 3 days of. So here are my stats for the week
I think Nestle Pure Life have a training day this month – which of course I can’t make. Which if course would be great to make – bah! Feeling like I have no clue what is going to happen on the day.
This week is full on. There are two interval sessions and the long run is 165 minutes. I have booked Friday off so will drop the little one at school and go for the run and then head off somewhere with her in the afternoon.
As we get closer to the big day, I would really appreciate it if you could find a few coins to donate. Anything would be appreciated, no matter how small.
You can also have a guess of how long it will take me to run the marathon
Leave your name on your guess and you will be automatically entered to the draw to win an iPod shuffle!
You can visit my page and make a donation by visiting BT MyDonate page (I have chosen this method of fundraising because they don’t take any sort of admin fee which I like).
If you want to go ahead and guess my time you can do it below. Have a bash and you can win the prize of an iPod shuffle!
