The them for this weeks Gallery is emotion.
So how about this: How emotional is it when you’re precious little bundle of loveliness falls over and hurts themselves?
The little one is like I was when I was younger. She runs everywhere. And this means she falls. And usually it means the knees get scraped.
This is her worst injury yet.
There was crying, but not too much. From her, not me.
But it tears me apart to see her hurting.
So we focussed on what a cool scab she would have to show it off. On how fascinating it was that it was bleeding. On what a great plaster she could have on her knee when we got home. Oh and there were sweets which REALLY helped – I even let her have some!
The tears soon stopped. She is very proud of her scabby knee now and shows it to everyone!
